Maybe that Rahu is the giant head of a demon?

This story is not in SB but in Skanda, Matsya (both tamasika Puranas) and possibly other Puranas. The circumstances also differ.

Regarding the status of Puranas as per their guna category see Tattva sandarbha:

"sun is closer to earth than the moon"

This one has been explained - sun is closer to _Bhu mandala_ than moon.

Sadaputa das produced "Mysteries of the Sacred Universe" book and cd (http://www.amazon.com/Mysteries-Sacred-Universe-Richard-Thompson/dp/0963530933). Here is a short overview:

'To believe' is out of question, it's 'to understand'.
When we say: "I don't believe the Bhagavatam", we are actually saying: "I don't believe the Goswamis, Bhaktivinode, Prabhupade and all the other acaryas". Considering our insignificance, why should we doubt the scriptures? If we want to pick up the process we have to start somewhere.

is sort to say, i haven´t found the tamasic puranic reference inside the Smrti, this time,.. i am having it now,... the hard time beleiving in, becouse i have heard but have not come to the exact verses of the purana, as VEDA states, i have really find this time the way the Ved and and the reference is being explained... how about the Passtime ?

"Sun is Closer to the Earth than the Moon.." this case is how ip`tics in the material world can also way through physics clear out many missguivings, i can not beleive ppl thought the earth was flat, but thence it was.

I want to read the part becouse it is the way things are cleared out exactly.. Even when i had realised there can be huge hewaded brahmas, and also is said brahma´s got five heads, and in the same way one of this five heads was cutted down by Lord Siva.. to Lord Brahma.. if Brahma is Jiva-tattwa for example, and is inside the modes of passion his soul must have been nirakaraa sometime.. or even reach that stage... indeed brahma is Great! aswell, vedas, smirtis and puranas told us and used to be that way, inaa showee way how the things are compossed... so there can be many many brahmas cose his days are but a glimpse into enternity... has Lord Brahma something to do with lord Shiva ? am shure they are, but the BHagavatam, the emperor as its said in the quotes by VEDA, is the emperor of every scripture, perhaps i think i found its relevant.

    Thanks !

    Haribol

I always thought that if you can imagine something, it should exist somewhere in the universe...
