Nobody is born this way. I do not think that when you were 6 month old you were gay guy... but "every living entity is atmarama. Temporarily covered by the influence of maya, the living entity serves his senses, which are represented as kama-krodha-lobha-moha-mada-matsarya-lust, anger, greed, illusion, madness and envy. In the material condition, all living entities are engaged in sense gratification, but when they associate with devotees who follow the regulative principles, they become purified and awakened to their original consciousness. They then attempt to satisfy the senses of Lord Krsna and engage in His devotional service."

You are not born this way, you are conditioned this way. You are not this mind or a body and not a conditioning. You are sad because you think that you are this body and try to enjoy this body, what ever way is not important, you will be sad.

I remember reading, I believe in one of the spiritual warrior books by HH Bhakti Tirtha Swami, that gay people may have been the opposite gender in their previous life and that conditioning carried over to their present body. For example, if you are a gay male then maybe you had a female body in your previous life and that conditioning carried over to your current body. I'm not sure if this is the official viewpoing of ISKCON, but this may at least help you understand why some people are gay. Hope this helps. -

but the purport is not referring to homosexuality its regarding sexuality tooo much lusty desires and even heterosexuality is not good except for conceiving children thats id having sex once or twice in their lifetime
Sex life is the background of material existence. Here also it is repeated that demons are very fond of sex life. The more one is free from the desires for sex, the more he is promoted to the level of the demigods; the more one is inclined to enjoy sex, the more he is degraded to the level of demoniac life.
Btw why is it impossible to live in ashram whrn one can control his desires ???
even matajis come to temple for worship if the straight ppl living in ashram can control their desire why not gays( i know i can control myself)

Yes, too much sex in general is asuric but these asuras were male. See SB 3.20.26 p.

That'd be a really exceptional case where every copulation act would lead to fertilization.

Why it should be impossible? It depends on the ashram leader.

Manusmriti isn't specifically meant fro Kaliyuga (Parasarasmrti is) but the principles are the same in all dharmasastras.

I read somwhere that if heterosexual men indulge in homo sex they will be born homosexuals. Makes sense.
However, one shouldn't waste life with these things but serve Krsna. -

It refers to previous life. There may be also other causes. It'd require a regression study of many homosexual men to find them out.
Homosexuals are potent only with men.
The main point is that we should try to transcend our material conditioning, be it hetero, homo or whatever. That's the purpose of bhaktiyoga. -

but potence means the ability to beget children and doesn't mean anything does it
in others words potency is virility as fertility is to women -
