I am looking for practical advice on rearing a child according to Vedic principles, particularly the first two years of life. Where in the scriptures is this described? Is the advice practical, ie: how and when to wean from Mother's milk, how to teach them to sleep, how to encourage good manners and discipline while being loving, which solids can be fed when, etc.

Any links, names of books or articles will be greatly appreciated.
