    Of course there is a whole different set if you follow some other system (non-ISKCON). In ISKCON eggplant and beetroot is okay, along with peanuts...

    I heard that peanuts belong to bean family because they come from pods like beans.Is that correct?Also vanila is not a bean .So is it ok to eat it?

    Peanuts are okayed by Prabhupada. See letter to Balai, San Francisco, 12 March 1968.

    There's nothing about vanilla and Ekadasi in Vb.
