My friend told about how his sister & her husband were visiting. His parents were there too, trying to make a good impression. They were making small talk. "How was the drive over." "Weather was nice" etc. etc. In a lull in the conversation my devotee friend asked "So what animals did you kill and eat for breakfast today?"

This devotee also was talking to some other person. That person said that the goal of life is to be good and not harm other people. My friend said "even a cow does that, why just be as good as a cow?" He told the man "Now you are retired, you just sit and get to read the paper everyday. You are just waiting to die." He didn't think anything of it, but the poor family members remembered it. As Prabhupada said, in every house there is a small Dhritarashtra nowadays.

One time an acquaintance asked me if I was against hunting, (he is a hunter himself).
I retorted that I am not against anybody not even the poor animals.
    Thankful People: abhiram, pradeep_iskcon
