Other: could you post a specific way a devotee inspired you in any field?

Many years ago I was to join the temple but was still hesitant. I joined due to a combination of feeling important, cause the temple president there made me feel that way, and when I was going to go, a devotee told me... "going? how is that? we have to paint the whole farm, you can't." And I stayed, "forever".
Just see, many times the little things make the significant turns in our lives.
