I know in the recordings of Srila Prabhupada's Japa, he pronounces the name Rama as "Ram"...is there a sankrit pronounciation consideration here?

I heard Jayadvaita Swami say that both are correct in sanskrit: Ram and Rama, but I would prefer to chant the full name, just in case.
    you know, manda sumanda matayo...

Actually 'X' in Russian 'Xape' is different from English 'H' but there is no corresponding sound in English. In Czech we transcribe it as Chare.

Well, yes, it actually is, if you go in phonetic details. Same as Russian "P" is a different sound than english "R", and Russian "E" is a different sound from English "E". Languages are amazing, aren't they? But wait, in Hindi there are actually three ways to pronounce "T" and four ways to pronounce "D"!!! Far out :)

I was just making a point that Russian "XAPE" is actually pronounced as "Hare" and not "Kzape" ;)
    Thankful People: abhiram
