    We have seen that some devotees say this often. Prabhu: dont be mental, just chant hare krishna.
    I dont understand the verse, just chant hare krishna.
    i dont know, just chant hare krishna.

    is this ok?

    Well we'll never be able to do it if we don't try and practice it. Certainly it will be difficult and maybe even unfulfilliing at first but our faith in the holy name must help us perservere and find the joy and solace in just chant and be happy.
    Here is a question for you when someone has said " Prabhu: don't be mental, just chant Hare Krishna" what have you done? In my opinion being mental never solved anything anyway.

    Fist of all, yes, it's OK. What it means is just that. It's self explanatory. Because Krsna is the source of EVERYTHING, He is putting you in these so-called difficult situations, physical, mental, economical or whatever they may be, in an attempt to have you take darshan with Him. It's an opportunity. Try to see it in that light. If you accept everything Srila Prabhupada says as the absolute truth then you must accept this also. Even if you don't understand it at this point, the only thing separating you from this understanding is time. Experiment with it. Follow the instruction with all sincerity and surely you will come to know what it means. Once again, it's about sincerity. What's in the heart is what counts and matters. Everything else is formality. Krsna Consciousness is serious business. So, you must try and become expert at your business. Prabhupada used to always say, "Simply chant, chant, chant, but you say can't, can't, can't. " Krsna is nondifferent than His name. This is a quote from Srila BhaktiSiddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur regarding The Holy Name: "The knowledge of the relationship between Krsna and the jiva constitutes the first stage in spiritual endeavor. Sri Krsna is the Supreme Lord, ever-existent, spiritual and full of the transcendental bliss. All jivas are His eternal servants. They are also, in their real nature, beings that are ever-existent,spiritual and full of transcendental bliss. But fallen jivas are ignorant of their real nature and are given selfish enjoyment of material pleasures. For their deliverence from the clutches of the illusory power, The Holy Name has appeared in this world. The Holy Name of Sri Krsna being spiritual, is identical with Sri Krsna Himself. The chanting of The Holy Name with the knowledge of relationship is the only form of service of Krsna that is available to the fallen jivas and by it's means they are enabled to attain the only object of their existence viz. the love of Krsna. It will thus appear that relationship with Krsna (sambandha) enabling us to serve Krsna by chanting His Holy Name (abhidheya) leading to love of Krsna (prayojana) constitutes the basis of the whole field of our spiritual endeavor".
