I need some good arguments to defeat darwinism
  • For students and intelectuals that know their stuff.
    Anyone?
  • why can´t you see any evolution taking place these last few thousand years? Is the law "out of order" :)
  • they say you dont see it happening because evolution is extremely slooooow.
  • Evolution theory begins by the chemical soup:

Dr. Singh. Darwin also says that the different species were not created simultaneously, but evolved gradually.

Srila Prabhupada. Then what is his explanation for how the process of evolution began?

Karandhara. Modern proponents of Darwinism say that the first living organism was created chemically.

Srila Prabhupada. And I say to them, "If life originated from chemicals, and if your science is so advanced, then

why can't you create life biochemically in your laboratories?"

    In the Future
Karandhara. They say they will create life in the future.

Srila Prabhupada. What future? When this crucial point is raised, they reply, "We shall do it in the future." Why in

the future? That is nonsense. "Trust no future, however pleasant." If they are so advanced, they must demonstrate

now how life can be created from chemicals. Otherwise what is the meaning of their advancement? They are talking

    nonsense.
    (...)

Dr. Singh. In fact, there are several theories explaining how life originated from matter, how living matter came

    from the nonliving.

Srila Prabhupada. [casting Dr. Singh in the role of a materialistic scientist]. All right, scientist, why is life

not coming from matter now? You rascal. Why isn't life coming from matter now? Actually such scientists are rascals.

They childishly say that life came from matter, although they are not at all able to prove it. Our Krsna

consciousness movement should expose all these rascals. They are only bluffing. Why don't they create life

immediately? In the past, they say, life arose from matter; and they say that this will happen again in the future.

They even say that they will create life from matter. What kind of theory is this? They have already commented that

life began from matter. This refers to the past -- "began." Then why do they now speak of the future? Is it not

contradictory? They are expecting the past to occur in the future. This is childish nonsense.

Karandhara. They say that life arose from matter in the past and that they will create life this way in the future.

Srila Prabhupada. What is this nonsense? If they cannot prove that life arises from matter in the present, how do

they know life arose this way in the past?

  • What is wrong with showing him the Forbidden Archeloogy? I showed it to one of my bosses today. He is an american born indian pious muslim and he was quite interested. Most religious people are trying to adjust Darwinism with their religious views. This person is a muslim who regularly prays and goes to the mosque. His point was that he could not believe the scientific establishment would cheat so much. I explained that one person may reject anolomous evidence because it would be too difficult to change their theory. But when you collect 100's of anolomous evidence then you have to take another look at the theory.

"Orthodox Darwinian position is that the events of nature give rise to consciousness. Hence consciousness depends upon nature, not vice versa. But quantum mechanics, when understood free of the deception tagged by Hoyle, may point to the opposite conclusion: the events of nature are completely dependent upon consciousness. Indeed, this is the Vedic conclusion." Nice.
  • This last article is very nice by HH Suhotra Maharaj.
  • I think this site has more than enough:

A lot to wrap your brain around.
  • funny site with deep content :)

  • After that monkey site I think I dont need any more good arguments. Ever.
  • ask...

    where is the "missing link"
  • that monkey was crazy hahaha
  • Personally, I believe in evolution. I don't find a belief in science to be in coflict with my spiritual life. The Catholic church has long taught that evolution explains the origin of the physical body, but not the soul, and that's pretty much what I believe.

Ulitmately though, it doesn't really matter, does it? We're here now, regardless of the origin of our bodies. The more important question is, how can we make the most of our time here on earth?
  • But evolution challenges the core of any spiritual belief, that God did create the variety all at once. And evolution has heavy connotations of atheism by its own nature.
  • hmmm.
Thomas, are you sure you understand the implications of darwin's evolution?
It means all comes from matter and not god.

  • What's chance as far as an explanation goes??
examples of it's obvious foolishness include: going to court: saying It's all by chance that all the ______ are dead! it happened by chance!

Simply put: to develop a capability to fight a disease it is NOT an argument to support the theory if evolution. Oherwise even the development of intelligence would.
  • "Simply put: to develop a capability to fight a disease it is NOT an argument to support the theory if evolution. Oherwise even the development of intelligence would."

Simply is how you understand it. As far as mundane science is concerned, this is an example of the process of natural selection evolving a gene to suppress a bacteria that was killing off a species. How do you understand the meaning of natural selection/evolution?

Your development of intelligence argument doesn't make sense to me in this context. Do we need to evolve a gene to develop intelligence?
  • does the immune system come from genes and intelligence not?
I understand that ALL features in human body come from genes.
What about the so called evolutionary development of intelligence from the monkeys to human beings?
  • I'm not really following your logic. If you understand "features of the immune system come from genes", why would you say the example provided in the link is not a case of natural selection?

The example given (which is not a case for the evolution of man) is of a species (not human) evolving a gene it didn't previously possess in order to survive. What does that have to do with the development of our intelligence? We can develop our intelligence with what we currently possess, namely the brain (and to be more succinct, devotional service ;). To cover All features as coming from genes may be accurate, but a bit vague.

By the way, do scientists really believe man evolved from monkey?
  • these people putting out the series of atheistic books 'god is not great' and 'the god conspiracy' say that the next step for human evolution is to get rid of the whole god concept altogether. they say its primitive and a sign of the weaker strains of human species. those more evolved have moved on from religious thinking into the realm of science.
  • not a scientist or anything close, but I understand something clearly, evolution is a theory, hey, it's in the name.
