I have met a couple of them

I am sure they are not all the same. The ones I met were a bit weird, even creepy. I got the feeling they needed to see a counselor or a psychologist.

I don't think their beliefs are any more out there than any other group. They are very secretive about what they believe. Except for the basic information I think that they are not allowed to discuss the core beliefs with non-scientologists so unless you read a lot of arcane stuff you won't be able to work out where they are really at.

I don't expect that the two I worked with for a while are unnecessarily representative of them all.

if you are interested The bare faced messiah is a good place to start finding out about them. I understand that Scientologists aren't "allowed" to read it. It is written by a man who was hired to write the biography of L Ron Hubbard the founder of the movement. Wen he was given access the the archives and Hubbards personal effect he found a whole other story than the myths Hubbard had allegedly told.

When the author showed them what he had written they sacked him and tried to prevent him from publishing it.

I guess they are souls lost in the maya of the kali yuga like the rest of us.
