Priyavrata prabhu wrote some time ago:
"To my great disappointment, my old friend Umapati prabhu, formerly Umapati Swami, who by the way preaches in China as Diksa Guru has been charged with homosexual acts with his disciples. There appears to be a mountain of evidence to the accusations."

Is there any official GBC record on this issue?

They prefer to keep these things secret

I would see a tendency in GBC these days to rather never keep anything secret about anything or anyone that is not directly responsible to GBC. In other words there is a competition of authority between gurus and GBC and GBC just too happy to point out any mistakes in gurus who are not on GBC. So clearly nothing solid in this case as GBCs will be motivated to sort him out.

I understand the politics you've so eloquently explained ccd. However, does anyone have a direct answer to the question at hand? A simple yes or no would suffice.

In many cases GBC was aware of sannyasi's problems for a long time before any action was taken. See:
GBC-EC Statement and Report Regarding Balabhadra das (formerly Bhakti Balabha Puri Maharaja) as an example. That approach perpetuates abuses of power, because GBC's leniency and secretive nature does not provide an incentive for sannyasis to act properly.
