    pizzas!

Are pizzas bonafide or not? they are sold as maha prasadam in mayapur.

Are there pizzas in the spiritual world? Please say yes!

I've actually asked Kurma Das (ACBSP) if we can use cheeses like mozzarella or cheddar and stuff. He said as long as it's kosher, it's fine, but they use this culture which is a type of bacteria that helps make the flavor. There are other milk products that use the stuff, so I suppose it's okay. I think very "aged" cheddar is not aloud though, but I'm not sure.

Misunderstanding - Kosher does not mean vegetarian. Kosher means blessed by a Rabi. So if you see the word kosher on a label or someone says don't worry it's kosher - question the ingredients.

Kosher does not mix meat and dairy. Right? So how could kosher cheese contain slaughter products?

I guess they could maybe find a way, but I can't imagine how.

I thought it was just beef and dairy products.

Anyway, I used the term kosher because it also means proper or legitimate. For us that would mean vegetarian.

"Mayapur is the spiritual world, isn't it?"

sitapati Prabhu, I hate to interrupt your personal extasis, but we might be still stepping and living in and around the fine layers of maya that cover the dhama. So be careful.

There are temples that still use white sugar (yes, the type that is whitened with bones) to make the maha sweets. "Where" and "for what" they use it is not as important as "what" they use.

On a similar topic, one time there was a question to Srila Prabhupada about eating the rotten maha-prasadam as it is spiritual. He said "The Gosvamis could do it, you will get sick" not the exact words, but it is in the vedabase somewhere.

... and i'm in mayapur, too. and i'm really, really sure i'm not _in_ the spiritual world, somewhere close by at best. not everything in mayapur, west bengal, is the spiritual world, unfortunately.
    Thankful People: abhiram

I don't think pizza is allright. In my experience, pizza intensely provokes rajas and tamas, even if it is prepared from proper vegetarian ingredients. The baked combination of flour (esp. white flour), tomatoes, cheese, and to make matters worse, olives, appears to be just the trigger.
Similar goes for lasagne and pasta.
